Back2School Explosion 2015
Every year Volunteer2ServeNGive host a Back2School Explosion for kids. Each year this event has grown where more families need assistance with school supplies. Last year Volunteer2ServeNGive provided 189 people with school supplies, gently worn clothes and books. We also provided some free Make Overs which included Free haircuts for boys and hair styling for girls. Each Summer we ask Small Businesses to partner with us by serving as a drop off location to collect school supplies. Currently Shear Passions a Small Business located in Indian Trail is serving as our Host Drop Off location to collect School Supplies. We're also thankful for the partnership and relationship we're building with the JRay Shute Center in Monroe, North Carolina. This Community Center allows us to use their facility to host our event. I chose this Center because its locate in the Urban Community based around Low Income Families that have a greater need for assistance. We wanted to make sure that we provide them with the necessary access to attend the event and to provide them with the school supplies that will ensure that their child is equipped with the basic tools when returning back to school. This facility also serves as a place for the kids to study and play after School and during the Summer months. Its rewarding and a challenge to host this event. Each year I seek Sponsorships and Partnerships to meet the high demand of those that need assistance with School Supplies Material.
