THE COLOR OF PINK

I love the color of PINK and I love it even more during Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October. Since the passing of my mother from breast cancer I have participated in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure for several years. I have volunteer, walk and provided monetary donations in my Mom's Memory. Recently my organization Volunteer2ServeNGive held a RockThePink Campaign in my Mother's Memory. This campaign consisted of me asking my followers from FaceBook and InstaGram to Rock their favorite Pink and Tag us with their photo(s). At the end of the Campaign I selected one person who RockThePink Campaign every day and donate to their favorite Non Profit Organization and I matched it by donating to SusanGKomen as well. The winner of the RockThePink Campaign was Claudia Phillps from Atlanta Georgia and her favorite Non Profit Organization was A Touch of Warmth. Each Non Profit Organization received $50.00 dollars from Volunteer2ServeNGive. This is a terrible disease and I pray we find a cure soon. In the mean time I'll do my part by bringing awareness to my community by providing Breast Cancer Campaigns, hosting events and continue to walk during the Susan G Komen Race for the Cure. We must continue to educate ourselves by doing our self breast exams and our 6 months or yearly mammagrams. I look to host a PinkUP Breast Cancer Brunch in my Mother's Memory and honor Survivors in the near future. #Letsband2gether4Life #BreastCancerAwareness
